Text Box: On April 9, 2005 in eleven cities across Ohio men will receive the several degrees of Masonry in a one day class. Grand Master, Most Worshipful Brother James Deyo, in a letter to all subordinate lodges in Ohio has encouraged everyone to be supportive of this special program for men desirous of becoming member of our fraternity. Fees for the several degrees in Masonry are $115.00 for Scioto Lodge #6 and must be submitted at the time of petitioning for

One Day Grand Master’s Class Slated

Text Box: addition of the WW II Monument located on Yoctangee Blvd.  Brother Ronald Nichols presented a talk on Homeland Security on a local level. Special guest speaker Arthur A. Reed, Chaplain at the Chillicothe Veterans’ Administration Hospital was well received as he spoke on how the chaplain’s department operates at the local facility and his varied experiences during his career. Overall this event was termed a success .  Worshipful Brother William Landrum will chair the event in 2005.
Text Box: Brother Brad Burns prepared a delicious Prime Rib dinner for 70 veteran’s, Masonic brethren, their wives and guests Thursday, November 11, 2004.  The event attracted 70 attendees.  Chillicothe Commandery #8 presented colors in the Red Room at the opening of the program which began at 7:30 pm.  Right Worshipful Brother David V. Medert substituted for his father Brother David R. Medert, in presenting a talk on Veterans’ Monuments located in Ross County with special focus on the newest Text Box: Worshipful Master-Elect appointed Worshipful Brother John J. Vanek as Chaplain, Brother Paul Bennington Senior Steward and Larry Eyre as Junior Steward.
The installation of officers took place Wednesday, November 17, 2004. Right Worshipful Brother David V. Medert served as Installing Officer, Worshipful Brother Alvin DePugh served as Installing Marshall and Chaplain while Worshipful Brother Michael Ash served as Installing Secretary. Refreshments were served to the brethren, their family members and friends who attended the installation.
