Text Box: Mr. Donald Ray Fields, a 2006 graduate of West Union High School, has been selected to receive the Grand Master’s Youth in Excellence Award for DeMolay at the Grand Master’s Reception, Saturday, February 4, 2006.

Donald is a charter member of Zane Trace DeMolay in West Union and was initiated May 12, 2001.

He has held offices as both Junior and Senior Councilor, Senior and Junior Deacon, Chaplain, Senior Steward and Junior Steward and Third Preceptor. He has attended numerous Winterfest and State Conclaves and participated in State Ritual Competitions.

Upon graduation Mr. Fields will be attending Northwestern University where he has been accepted for studies, majoring in High Performance Technology.

Donald has been active in baseball for eight years and participated in Future Farmers of America for three years. He has been a teacher assistant in the FFA and was twice named West Union High School student of the month. This year he is serving as student assistant in the high school office.

In addition to his enjoyment of hunting and fishing, Donald is active at the Mt. Hope Bible Camp where is has participated for three years.

Mr. Fields works at Long John Silvers Restaurant and has been selected as Employee of the Month.

Seventh Masonic District Association to Recognize DeMolay & Rainbow Youth

Ms. Renea L. Tackett, daughter of Randy and Betty Tackett of West Union Ohio has been selected to receive the Rainbow Girl 2006 Grand Master’s Youth in Excellence Award. Ms. Tackett graduated from West Union High School in 2004 and is attending Southern State Community College where she is majoring in Early Childhood Education. Renea is an interpreter for the deaf and has aspirations to further her education in Education for the Deaf.  Ms. Tackett was initiated into Ohio Valley Rainbow Assembly in June 2002 where she is a charter member. She served as Drill Leader, Hope, Worthy Associate Advisor, Worthy Advisor. She is currently a Grand Representative to Maine and Oregon from Ohio.
