Text Box: The following communication was received January 12, 2007 by Worshipful Master Worshipful Brother Ralph W. Cyrus:
Dear Worshipful Brother Cyrus,
This letter is regarding your recent inspection in the Master Mason Degree. I congratulate you and the other Brethren of Scioto, as Right Worshipful Brother R. Joseph Shilling has reported favorably on the event, and it sounds like it was a very enjoyable!
I also would like to acknowledge his comments. I am impressed with his remarks regarding your charitable contributions and community involvement. These definitely are in keeping with Most Worshipful Brother Himes’ program this year, but more importantly, they are the true assets of our organization — to our communities as well as to our Brethren. Without these endeavors, we’ve lost the core value of our institution.
Furthermore, your commitment and dedication to all Lodge operations, from your record keeping and ritualistic proficiency to your Lodge Education programs, must be specifically commended. These are the attributes not only of a successful Lodge, but one that exhibits the excitement and enthusiasm to be successfully far into the future as well. Well done, my brothers.
To summarize, it sounds from Right Worshipful Brother Shilling’s report, as if you’re doing a lot of great things in the Lodge and in the Chillicothe community. Keep up the good work! I offer my heartfelt congratulations with all your accomplishment. I know that as long as you continue what you’re doing, Scioto Lodge #6 will continue to be a positive force for bothers ad community alike.
Best regards to you all, both now, and in the future,
Fraternally yours,
Charles R. Murphy
Reviewing Officer

From the Illustrious Master: All Companions of Council #4 are requested to search for any rituals in the hardback maroon binding that may still be in their possession. It would be appreciated that these be returned to the Office of the Recorder at your earliest convenience. Many of you purchased the soft-back bound volume, that is not what is being sought. Likewise, the ritual for the Most Excellent Master in the black bound, hardback edition are being sought as well. Any assistance you can render would be greatly appreciated
