Text Box: At press time no information was available regarding the total number of candidates who participated in the 2005 Grand Master’s One-Day Class. What has been stated in many conversations was the observation that virtually all locations were filled with near capacity crowds. It would not be presumptuous to presuppose that nearly 3000 men became members of the craft. Blue Lodge is the bed-rock of the Masonic family which is comprised of many appendant organizations. Membership in these groups is predicated on membership in good standing in the Blue Lodge. Mason's family members can join to share many more of their common interests and activities.

Text Box: Is Freemasonry a religion?
No. Neither is Freemasonry a religion, nor does it require a religious affiliation. However, Masons worship in congregations of their choice. Some are ordained priests, ministers, or rabbis; many serve in lay capacities; others have no affiliation. With origins in post-Reformation England, Freemasonry's allegories and rituals are rooted in Judo-Christian tradition. They exemplify mankind's universal experience and inculcate and admired moral and ethical value system. With respect to religion, Freemasonry simply teaches the "Fatherhood of God" and the "Brotherhood of Man."
