Text Box: Greeting from the Most Worshipful Grand Master
Text Box: October 18, 2007
Dear Brethren of Scioto Lodge #6 F. & A. M., the past year has been an enjoyable year for me in Masonry. As the year Masonic Year draws to a close I would like to reflect upon the past twelve months. My first meeting was busy with the installation of four officers and work in the Entered Apprentice and Master Mason Degree. There were a few bumps in the meeting, but we lived through it. There were many Past Master present who moved into positions that needed to be filled to make the degree work enjoyable.
I would be negligent if I failed to give thanks to some for all their extra work in supporting me this year. Worshipful Brother William E. Landrum for conducting all the Masonic Funeral services this year and handling the details for the annual Fish Fry and the annual Veterans’ Night Banquet. Brother Brad Burns for being the head chef in charge of the Chicken Noodle Dinner and other special dinners through-out the year, including the annual Fish Fry. Worshipful Brother William Bennett for compiling and editing “The Trestle Board” each month and for keeping me on track all year. Brother Kenny L. Graves for serving as Chairperson on most of the investigating committee for petitioners. Worshipful Brother Alvin DePugh for filling any office or give any degree lecture when ask. Worshipful Brother John J. Vanek for being the “Rock” in the east and as Chaplain.
Lastly, to each and everyone who attended the meeting and gave your support, I extend to you a heartfelt THANK YOU!
Fraternally and Sincerely
Ralph W. Cyrus, Worshipful Master 2007

Text Box: We are the oldest and largest fraternity in the world, and this year we will be celebrating our bicentennial when six Lodges met in Chillicothe in 1808 to form the Grand Lodge of Ohio. There will be many public events around the state to mark this milestone. Masonry has been a valuable asset over the years - from the time Ohio was formed out of the Northwest Territory to the present by helping our communities through our charitable contributions. My theme for this special year is "The Wonderful World of Freemasonry." I chose this theme because we have so much to offer. No matter if we are active in the Scottish Rite, York Rite, or the Shrine, we are one family and conduct our lives in a moral and compassionate way with brotherly love, relief, and truth. Freemasons offer opportunities for personal improvement and development.

On behalf of the 116,000 Masons in Ohio, I welcome you.

Ronald L. Winnett
Grand Master of Masons in Ohio 2007-2008
