Text Box: Gone are the metal lockers that stood for so long in the midst of the armory just off the anti-room of the Chillicothe York Rite Bodies “Red Room.” The diminished need for the lockers and a desire to display many of the archives in a more tasteful manner, prompted the change.
The first step was to refinish the hardwood floor. This project was funded by Scioto Lodge #6 and Chillicothe Chapter #4 at a cost of $3,643.50. The Plan of Action and Milestone Committee allocated a budget of $3000.00 to the Archive Account for the purpose of purchasing material and display equipment. Display cases were purchased from E.M. Smith Jewelers who closed their gift shop at the Bridge Street location in Chillicothe.
Oriental carpets stored in the balcony over the Red Room and seating from the 4th floor lounge were placed in the display area to make it more attractive and comfortable. Reading material has been placed in the seating area to make it a more relaxing place to spend time.

Text Box: It was a great day for a fish fry in Yoctangee Park on Friday, June 4, 2004. Rain came just as the event came to a close around 6:30 pm. The only negative was the lack of adequate fryers to keep up with the demand of customers, a situation that will be addressed for the 2005 fish fry. After expenses of $1,963.34 were deducted from income, realized profit was $1,048.75 . Traditionally, these funds are use to underwrite Scioto Lodge #6 Scholarship Fund.
